About the Anshe Emeth Community Development Corporation:

In 1998, the Anshe Emeth Community Development Corporation of Central Jersey, Inc. (AECDC) was founded by members of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple (the Temple) in New Brunswick, NJ.

Its creation was based on the congregation’s long history of social action and involvement in helping the needy in New Brunswick and Middlesex County, where the Temple was established in 1859.

The AECDC, Inc., was anchored in the core Jewish values of everyone’s responsibility to repair the world (Tikkun Olam), and to treat all others with respect.  The programs were planned to help all members of the surrounding community, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, ability, age or gender.

In 1999 the organization was incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit, with by-laws and a Board that made it financially and organizationally separate from the Temple.

Mission: To provide free social and health-related services to the neediest in our community, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, ability, age or gender.

Vision: All people deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion to meet their physical, economic and social needs.
