Information About Referrals

Beginning February 20, 2023 clients can access diapers in two ways:

  1. Clients can visit the office Monday through Thursday, 10am-12pm, to pick up diapers.

The CJDB office entrance is located on Delavan Street across from A.C. Redshaw Elementary school.  While the address of the building is 222 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, clients should not ring the doorbell of the main building on Livingston Ave.

2. Clients receiving diapers through diaper distributions at partner organizations will still be able to receive diapers on the days designated by the partner organization.

Each client can receive diapers every two months, regardless of the method of receipt or how many times they come to the diaper bank.  Please encourage your clients to come only once every two months.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Starting August 1, 2023, we are requiring that parents or guardians bring a copy or picture of their child’s birth certificate for each child receiving diapers when they come to our office, regardless of if they have received diapers from us before. If a parent or guardian does not have a copy or picture of the birth certificate, they will be asked to return on a different day with that paperwork.  If a family is unable to access a copy or image of the birth certificate, we may be able to accept other official documentation with the names and ages of the children receiving diapers.  This measure allows us to provide the correct number of diapers for each household based on the number of children in their care.

We want to clarify that the birth certificate can be from any country; it doesn't have to be from the United States. Additionally, we want to assure everyone that this will be the only documentation required, and we will not request any additional personal identification such as driver's licenses, social security cards, green cards, or immigration status information for parents or family members.
